About Me
Unveiling the Writer
Hello!
Welcome to my blog!
My name is Tayven Taylor and I am a first-year pursuing a bachelors degree in computer science at the University of California, Irvine. I am originally from Michigan and moved out to Irvine this last fall to pursue my academic ambitions. I graduated from Bloomfield Hills High School in late 2019 in order to study Japanese at Kudan Institute of Japanese Language & Culture (九段日本文化研究所日本語学院). Unfortunately, my studies ended prematurely due to the COVID-19 virus.
This blog is dedicated to my Writing 39A class, in which we are studying gender roles––specifically, in Disney films. In this class, we are expected to strengthen our writing and comprehension skills. At the end of this course, we are expected to 'feel confident in our reading accuracy', 'understanding the importance of having a writing process', 'Improve written and digital literacy as well as overall communication skills', among other objectives. I am excited to see my progress throughout the year which will be exhibited in each individual blog.
